I have had eczema my whole life. My skin was ruined by steroid perscriptions from other doctors. I wanted something other than those types of treatments. Dr. Effron recommended products for routine use that allowed my skin to feel great. I am very happy with the products and my condition is in better control than it has ever been.
NEVER WILL I GO BACK!!!!! DO NOT GO TO THIS DERMATOLOGIST!!!! She makes you think you need $100's of dollars worth of products (all her own label products). They overcharge for everything! I've had cortisone shots on the past for keloids. My visit with her they charged me $40 for the shot. I've never once had to pay for a cortisone shot, my insurance covers it 100%. But they gave me the shot without telling me before hand that they do not bill insurance for cortisone shots. When you walk out of the room she convinces you nee... read more
Just trying to sell her medicines and lotions and doesn't try to solve the patient's skin problems
WAY too long of a wait to see the doctor!!! – I don't have 1 hour to sit in a doctors office and wait just to see the doctor! I don't care what it is! I would definately not recommend Dr. Effron to anyone who thinks they are going to make an appt at her office in HB and be seen quickly. Either you sit in the waiting room forever or you are put in an exam room and wait forever - not sure which is worse. 2 Hour round trip and no appointment! – I made an appointment with Dr. Effron's Anaheim Hills office, which is an hour drive from where I live, on July 1, 2011. The appointment was for August 15th at 2:10pm. I did not receive any calls to confirm my appointment and I drove the hour on Aug 15th thinking I had an appointment. When I arrived at 1:51pm, Mariette told me they didn't have me on the schedule. That my appointment was cancelled. Amazing Dermatologist – Absolutely amazing dermatologist. My daughter has pretty severe psoriasis and we were very picky about who we saw. From the moment we met Dr. Effron, we knew she was the perfect doctor for our daughter. Dr. Effron has a wonderful bedside manner, a kind heart, and an IQ and EQ that transcends any other doctor I have seen.
She has helped our family tremendously – My younger daughter and myself has severe eczema. Every time she sees us, she gives us very detailed instruction of what to do. If we thoroughly follow her directions, our condition gets improved immediately. Amazing how quickly she spots our issues and treat us. When I'm too busy and cannot follow her direction precisely, then I can see that I slowed down the speed of getting results. Thankful Family – I have 4 kids coming to see Dr. Effron for acne problems monthly. Though they are all on different regiments, all of them are getting results. They are not embarrassed at school anymore. These days kids can be cruel at school. Now my kids are confident and looking great! I also had a mole that Dr. Effron was concerned about.
