What started as a small salon in Lombard in 2003 has grown into a downtown Elmhurst staple and an unstoppable salon family. We moved to Elmhurst's Western United building in 2008 and in 2020 we expanded into Effigy Salon + Lounge.

I can't rave enough about Rita Adams. She truly knows how to color hair. She'll tell you honestly if a color or product will work on your hair type. She listens to what you want and delivers. I won't go anywhere else and it's a bit of traveling for me but it's worth it. You won't be disappointed.

Best Salon Ever! Stephanie does my hair and she is amazing! I trust her so much, she literally does whatever she thinks will look good on me. Any color and any cut. Everyone who works here gets along with each other, you can really tell they like working together. I love talking with everyone here - Just a happy group to be around!

I've read the positive reviews on Yelp, Google and Facebook so I figured to give this salon a shot since I'm looking for something local. I went in after having lost about half of my hair from telogen effluvium 2 years ago and now losing hair again postpartum. My hair was a sore spot; a bun and a clip in what used to be my bangs has been my hairstyle for the last 4-5 months.
