My Edward Jones/bnymellon Visa card was hacked for over $11,000 in the course of three (3) days (1/31/21, 2/1/21 and 2/2/21. There were four (4) transaction to one vendor in a single day for over $4,000. Edward Jones did not notify me, and if I hadn't received a head's up from ********* the hack would have continued indefinitely. It took over a month for E. Jones to credit my account for these charges, which were made all over the country, and I have had zero communication from them, even after: Phone calls and emails to the... read more
Business response:
As of this date I have had no communication from Edward Jones, and some of the fraudulent charges have still not been credited back to my account. Ideally, someone of authority would contact me to review and clean up this mess. My next step is to send my packet of documentation to BNY Investment Servicing Trust Co. in Wilmington, DE. I would not be having to spend my time tracking who to contact for assistance with this fiasco if someone from Edward Jones had responded to my numerous inquiries.
Edward Jones in Seattle has made several serious errors within the administartion and set-up of my investment account. They have refused to communicate with me in writing in order to solve the problems. I have had to go to the expense of hiring a lawyer. I am thoroughly appalled by their lack of respect, transparency and ethical service.
Business response:
Edward Jones takes all client complaints seriously. We are reviewing this matter and will seek to reach a resolution directly with the client.
I have my monthly Social Security benefit automatically deposited in my Edward Jones’ checking account. This always occurs the third Wednesday in every month. There was a July 15 Social Security deposit listed in my July Edward Jones’ statement. However, there was no Social Security deposit listed in my August Edward Jones’ statement; nor is there a Social Security deposit listed in my Edward Jones’ September account. I have contacted my local Social Security office. They told me Edward Jones was no longer accepting my month... read more
I’ve been trying for 4 1/2 months to get MY money out of Edward Jones. (Thank GOD there was no emergency)! Apparently, the financial advisor (Becky ****** on the East Beltline in Grand Rapids MI) put 60% of my money into an account with Edward Jones name as the owner!!! Yesterday (7/21/20) I was told I have to pay a $95 fee to get their name off the account. I called Becky and she would not return my call — I thought she should pay the fee. I’m taking my money from Edward Jones because their fees are so high and they really ... read more

My financial advisor is friendly but the company is rude and disrespectful when it come to communication. Edward Jones spams you via email and mail. If you block the email spam they start mailing you spam asking you to unblock 3 different email addresses. Unblocking 3 email addresses is more than clear they are harassing you with SPAM. An example of spam includes redundant messages telling you a new statement is available with no means to opt out of them. You can log into your online account every hour but they don't have a ... read more
The financial advisor I delt with lied to me!, when I said I didn’t understand what he was talking about he blew me off, he withheld information from me, and the response from Edward Jones is always the same: “Edward Jones takes all client complaints seriously, we are reviewing this matter and will seek to reach a resolution directly with the client”, OH PLEASE!!! What a bunch of ****!!!!!!
Placed a money order on the 5th, it is now the 17th and my $6,500.00 is MIA. Called yesterday to headquarters where the woman informed me that Edward Jones had "followed protocol," that I needed, "to contact my United States Postal Office," and proceeded to HANG UP ON ME mid-sentence. My personal financial advisor is of no help and sent me a snarky, numbered, email response after informing me I could re-issue a check on the 24th but only after I pay $25 to do so. There is a complete lack of empathy at Edward Jones, they are ... read more

I would highly recommend looking into another option for your financial services. Cory is a nice guy, but I believe you can do better elsewhere for the following reasons: 1. Edward Jones costs are much higher than other options, which will eat into your investments. The flat rate for my services with Edward Jones was 1.35% (the fee based account). My friend met with a respected and trusted adviser in Tyler recently that only charged 0.4%. You can have a brokerage account at ******** that only cost 0.15%. Your net gains have ... read more
