When I initially met with my new advisor, I specifically asked for my investment to be "low risk." After losing alot of money I asked AGAIN that any possible adjustment be made to ensure I was at "the lowest risk possible." After losing yet more money, $15,000, I called the home office and asked to cancel my account and was told that, "I had been at Fairly high risk and then adjusted to medium risk." NOT what I was assured at all!!! Expensive lesson!!!!!

1) I asked to be sure to offset funds which dump capital gains on clients 2 weeks before end of year. Advisor left company and incoming one had no clue: left with a fully taxable $28,000 capital gains.2) Got a report of an automatic buy/sell with a $3,700 discrepancy. Two months ago, I requested clarification. To date, no response.3) Forced to sell RMD so requested advisor to wire funds to bank. After 5 days, no confirmation from bank. Advisor forgot to complete transaction.4) Wrote CEO of **** with above complaints. Asked n... read more

Trash company, get your money away from them at all costs before you are in too late, they will not let you get your money back and will continually pass blame along to anyone and everyone they can. I have filed documentation with the company on three separate occasions trying to get Edward Jones to release my money to my new financial advisors. The rep I have been primarily dealing with, ****** ******, provided me with her direct fax #, rather than a companywide line, which was never received as she went on leave in the mid... read more

Have had a really, really bad experience with Edward Jones recently. They resist giving me my requested money because they don't trust the organization I'm hiring to help me. I've investigated the trustworthiness of the organization I'm trying to hire services from and believe them to to be who they say they are. They are not frauds. I've now asked to liquidate my money from them because of the discouraging and troublesome experience I've had trying to get my money to pay for needed services. Being able to get these services... read more

Have tried to make a name change on my beneficiary for two years and have signed multiple documents over the course- none have been filed, some were not necessary to make the change. Switched my accounts to my niece who also works with Edward Jones and have been beyond pleased! Those who do not plan to work or whose employees do not follow through should be closed!

Business response:

**************, We regret your frustrations with our firm in changing your beneficiary but appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback as we consider client feedback an invaluable resource in our continual efforts to improve the service we provide to our clients. We are glad that you are pleased with the service you are currently being provided and appreciate you making note of that.

Was with EJ and had to switch to someone else after they actually said to us on the phone "you act like this is really your money". That's all that needs to be said.

It was like pulling teeth to get anyone on the phone or to answer an email at Edward Jones. When they finally felt like responding it was all poor attitudes and "know it all" tones from them. They even had to nerve to tell us on a conference call "You act like this is really your money" LoL who says that to a client??? Then we switched to a more reputable firm and they hit us with a 29k One Time Fee that include assets they didn't even have yet due to them dropping the ball. Then more attitude from them. In short, I would hi... read more
