I like Dr. Stolar and his office. It is efficient and straightforward dermatology. I feel as comfortable having a suspicious mole removed as asking questions about cosmetic issues. Dr. Stolar is warm and engaging.
I have been a patient of Dr. Stolar for about 30 years. I see him at least once a year to remove cosmetic skin blemishes and suspicious precancerous cells. He is very attentive during my annual check ups and readily available when I need him on short notice. He has a nice sense of humor in addition to be being extremely competent.
Can't rave enough about Dr Stolar and how well this office is managed. I arrive at 8:55 for my 9:00am appt, there were a few folks in waiting room, and examined, got my procedures and was walking out at 9:20! Excellent office management, and Dr Stolar is a great listener and practitioner. Couldn't be any happier with this experience.

I have used Dr. Stolar for a number of years now, mainly to deal with unusual lesions, skin tags and/or moles. He is extremely competent and you can usually get an appointment within a few weeks. He does not waste your time, listens attentively and has accurately diagnosed and treated all of the skin issues that I have seen him for. His staff is professional and attentive. Not sure you could ask for any more from a dermatologist.
In my opinion, Ed Stolar is an incompetent jerk. I could deal with his arrogance, disinterest, and short attention span, if only he were competent. But no. Had a rash in my butt crack and saw him about it three times over several months. He originally prescribed steroids, then antibiotics. The third time I saw him, I reported that the rash came back the day after stopping antibiotics.
