Had a very extended meal at this iconic diner yesterday with two friends from school days back in the 50's and 60's. Great wait staff, there was no rush to get our order, and when we did it was quick to get to us, good juicy patty melt, loaded club sandwich and always the stacked Ruben, fries fresh from the fryer! We were there for a long time and never felt pressure to wrap up and leave. My family decided to eat there. A several minutes later two other family came in. We waited almost 30 min with water and then a waiter came and took orders from the two table that came in after us. I'm not sure if the waiter here picks and choice who they serve or what. Unfortunately, now we are late for others plan that we made to do downtown to go find elsewhere to eat today, No food is worth this.
I'm a little upset that I have not received my postcard for my free birthday dinner my birthday is this coming Friday and it is still not come so I guess I won't be going there for my birthday lol
Would like say that Ed Walker's went above and beyond today. A mistake was made on my takeout lunch order and not only did they replace it but they brought it to me when they found out that I could not come back do my lunch being almost over. Kudos!
Love the food and most of my family has been going there for years and never had bad service but today my girlfriend and I came in and we had two rude waitress don't know if iam coming back

So sad to see a local staple dive going to the pot so badly. Unfriendly and down right rude staff short of one amazing server. Food with horribly varying qualities from absolutely worth the $10 to tasting like month old stove top. I only eat local and it saddens me to mark Ed Walkers off my gastronomic menu.
We have always loved this spot but we were beyond disappointed. My almost $11 dinner tasted like it had been fried then dipped in extremely old rotten grease, so they swapped it out, tho they still charged me $2.50 for a bowl of ice berg lettuce with a sprinkle of cheap cheese. We had the 5lb burger, cooked to perfection! Great wait staff! Great experience. Thank You! From Oklahoma! Drove 230 miles for a burger and we will do it again!
