The delightful little find, tucked away amid antique shops, masquerades as a quiet cafe during the day, then serves some of Atlanta's one of the best tapas when the sun goes down. At the Eclipse di Luna , the dining room is decidedly casual, decorated with metal trunks and chairs hanging from the ceiling. The prix fixe menu highlights the Spanish ribs with balsamic vinegar and Luna's own handmade mozzarella cheese. In true tapas fashion, you'll want to try a little of everything. you'll love it – fantastic place for casual date, wait time isnt that great but worth it every hour, once you try it you will want to share with all your friends, food is the best yet for me in atlanta there isnt a single entry that you wouldnt fall for, you can pick any item and its the bom! simply cant go wrong, although it is very noisey in there its ok because once you get to eating nothing can get in your way
Very Crowded, Good Food – This is a great place for groups - more laid back than its sister restaurant, Loca Luna. Similar menu, though. All items are very good. Sangria is not sweet enough for my taste. The flan is amazing!
Loved it – My first time but definitely not my last. The food was delicious, and at $101 for 4 of us, eating as much as we could, with unlimited sangria all around and a couple of martinis, great value. Especially loved the calamari, the fig and sherry ice cream, the service and the ambience. Only gripe (and this is a minor one) is that the music could have been a little softer. Compared with the tapas restaurant we visted in NY recently, owned by a certain famous tv chef, this one wins hands down. See you there next Sunday.
Excellent! – You won't be dissapointed with Eclipse di Luna. Friendly staff, amazing food, and a great atmosphere make for a fantastic night out. We've been twice and plan on going back again and again. The calamari are the best we've tasted. And the mohitos are great. Request a table inside to listen to the band (and it's warmer). The place is pretty busy so you may end up waiting at the bar or on couches near the band ... but take advantage of the wait with one of the cocktails and music. We're actually glad our table wasn... read more
An Awesome Experience – My friend and I visited Eclipse di Luna on 9/30/04 and had an absolutely fabulous time. I am visiting the area and unfamiliar with the city, so I had gotten turned around and was going to be late. I called and they were most accommodating. We had such a great time I went into the office the next day and was talking about the food, live music and the warm feel of the place. Many of my co-workers wanted to go. So I went back with a group on 10/5/04 and we had a phenomenal time. Because we were a group a... read more
Fun, Loud, Great Food – Its loud. Its crowded. I had a BLAST! I ate REALLY GOOD FOOD! So many places like this usually fail because the size of the crowd overwhelms the kitchen and staff and the quality goes down. However, Eclipse di Luna serves some of the best tapas in Atlanta. The secret is simple preparation of very good ingredients. Green beans were fresh and crisp tossed with Point Reyes blue and walnuts. Serrano ham was perfectly sliced and the Spanish chorizo was plump without being greasy. The best surprise was the ... read more
TOP TAPAS – We were visiting from out of state and met some friends for an early dinner on a Saturday night. Service was very efficient and the food and drinks came out quickly after each order. Everything we ordered was fantastic especially the lamb meatballs and the plantains. All very flavourful and with good garnishes. I would definitely suggest reservations if you arrive on a weekend after about 7pm. There were tons of people outside waiting for tables when we left at 8pm.
overrated – I made reservations far in advance, and when we arrived at the restaurant we were told we would have to wait 30 minutes for a table. After 45 minutes, we complained to the spaced out hostess who didn't even remember who we were. We were within 1 minute away from leaving when they finally called us to a table. The live music was nice, but it was so loud I could barely hear my date (we are in our 20's, not 70's). Our waitress was curt and not especially friendly. The shrimp was the best thing on the menu, and every... read more
Nice Place – I made reservations, but I must say that I was disappointed with the location of my table (near a door and it was cold). I would go back here though. The food was pretty good. I enjoyed everything except for one of the tapas items I tasted (can't remember what it was unfortunately). I definitely recommend making reservations as it got very crowded as the evening went on. The menu has enough on it that almost anyone can find something to eat if they have eating restrictions (vegetarians, people who don't eat red ... read more
