just heard from someone they used instant mashed potatoes at Eckl's.ugh
Went for the first time last night and it felt like home. Great roast beef, amazingly friendly team and relaxed atmosphere. I hear the lobster bisque is great, too. I can't wait to go back and try it!

Took my mom here for her birthday dinner. The roast beef was amazing!!
Never been there before. Thought the service was great, I had the beef plate and oyster cocktail that was perfect for a low carb dieter such as I am, actually was able to get the beef served rare! Rest of our group very satisfied, especially taking into consideration it just reopened. Will make this place a habit.
Walked out after waiting 45 minutes (the amount of time we were told) and nowhere near getting a table. Lots of people in front of us, but 3 people who knew the owner walked in and were escorted directly to a table. A large party was arguing with the owner and a girl was in tears. Nowhere to wait without being in the way. Never again!
