lies – When I moved in I did not think the price was too high. My partner and I were paying $2,475 for a two-bedroom apartment, a parking spot, and dog rent for our two dogs. We are law students and live off of a fixed income from our federal loans. When we signed our lease we were warned that the price may go up if the apartment cannot offer the same amount of concessions. Raised my rent $101/month after the first year – I've lived at Tunlaw Gardens for two years. It's an old art deco apartment building, and that was the charm for me, but be warned -- they raised my rent $101 per month after the first year. This was after telling me that rents were usually raised only $20-$50/month when I signed up for the apartment.
