I checked myself into this psych facility this spring. I have bipolar disorder and was going through mania due to work and life in general. I needed a place to stabilize myself and relax. I do not recommend anyone child or adult come here for treatment. They were not transparent about many things. One major issue was that people were brought here before being transferred to jail. I picked up my daughter and noticed she had cuts on her arm I was not informed of this she said she cut herself while there basically just proving that she wasn't being watched. She will never come back here ever again DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!
I had two very different experiences at East Tennessee Behavioral Health. About a year ago, my stay was helpful. The prescriber listened, groups were useful, and we had regular outdoor access, including a basketball goal. It felt therapeutic. My recent stay was completely different. It was traumatizing. Id rather light myself on fire than go through what my recent stay was like again.
I had two very different experiences at East Tennessee Behavioral Health. About a year ago, my stay was helpful.
