Awesome food,great service. Small establishment but worth the wait.
We went twice, would have gone 3 but didn't feel like waiting 45 minutes. We ordered and loved the shrimp and grits and corn cake benedicts, both of which was robust and full of flavor. The 2nd time we ordered fried pickles and green tomatoes- both were good.
First time having chicken and waffles - so good! Have to have it a second time before leaving to come back to Michigan! Staff were all very friendly! Will be back again!
This place is wonderful. It's my wife's absolute favorite place to eat. We drive about 45 to eat here when we can and it's never bad.

I lived in Charleston for a couple years. This is my favorite restaurant in the city! I could eat it every day of the year! The mess is my favorite but I have tried everything on the menu and everything is made with soul and is amazing!
IT WAS A GREAT LUNCH. CAN'T WAIT TO COME BACK SOON. REAL SOUTHERN.WAITRESS WAS VERY GOOD AND PLEASANT. LOVED THE ART WORK THAT WAS FOR SALE ON THE WALLS ! TOOK PICTURES.
Get turkey sandwich and a side of fried orka. Definitely will go back.
