Have a working phone line, emails and website would be a good start. Have a even moderately functioning maintenance staff would really help - we have theorized they are severely understaffed. Would love to find out, but [see above] we can't get ahold of anyone and cannot get to the complex during their business hours (which they are regularly not there for). DO NOT MOVE HERE! It's a beautiful location if you don't mind the sounds of I-74 (which we don't) but definitely not worth it.
Repairs...communication...My hot water heater went out last Monday...I missed work because I got up for work to take a shower and there was no hot water. Maintenance came next EVENING and determined I needed a water heater and would put in an order for it. It's been a week and not water heater...no hot water. I have had to boil water for dishes...bath...etc. Called office today Trish said she would check with maintenance and get back with me but haven't heard from her at all. Maintenance Dept. severe incompetence. Slow repairs and disregard for resident safety when repairing electrical/mechanical problems. Failure to maintain campus safety: poor lighting, clearing of ice/snow walkways/stairwell during winter season, failure to respond to emergency calls, failure to assist residents with potentially dangerous and damaging issues such as flooding in apartments, electrical/mechanical issues, temperature regulation of units, accessibility to laundry unit at main office just to name a few. They manage to ruin the great atmosphere with poor communication, lack of care, and tardiness to maintenance issues. It's been 10 days since I wrote to corporate and have yet to hear regarding several safety issues. This place could be amazing under the right ownership. Would not recommend as it is now.
We love it here! Management has always taken care of us. The maintenance crew has been especially responsive to our needs and continues to exceed our expectations. The reason is that, I have a wonderful end apartment. The view from my window is great. The staff has been ok at times. Some things needs to be done, I guess it Wil get done one day. Their three bedrooms are nice sizes, just don't ask for anything new, you will not get it. Sorry I have lived here since March and my dishwashers don't clean your dishes, refrigerator going out, my outside carport light don't work. But further more everything else is great.
