Unfortunately I have made numerous attempts to reach Jim Dutton and he has avoided my calls and messages. His business in San Antonio (which I am fully fully aware was sold and then that business went bankrupt) did work on our house (prior to us being the owners). Our house needs additional work and no one wants to touch it because it has had work in the past. Du-West did an amazing foundation repair job for me yesterday. I literally watched cracks in my brickwork close before my eyes! Thank you!!!!
Called Du-West out to our house for foundation and plumbing repair in May 2019. The sales representative came by and gave me an estimate of $20,000+to tunnel under the house and fix the issues. I was waiting for an my insurance check and I told him that as well. He never called, emailed, or texted me back. Needless to say I went with another foundation company and their estimate was $10,000 less than what was give by Du-West and took 3 days to complete.
Stand behind your warranty and treat your customers right. Good money was paid for repair and it is worse now than before your repair.
DuWest doesn't honor their warranty as others have indicated, Supposedly sold their foundation business to Advance Foundation. Per Advance Foundation, cannot get authorization from Du-West to pay them to make adjustments to prior foundation work, had to call a local foundation company to do repairs need done now. Contacted both companies for reimbursement of $$ paid to get work done that should have been done by Du-West!!!
Du-West shared what I considered to be private information regarding my property with a third party. They shared this information without consulting me or asking for authorization. While I found this to be highly unethical if not illegal, when I spoke with the owner, Jim Dutton, about the matter he was dismissive and extremely condescending. Ultimately it was Mr. Dutton raising the original estimate by $1000s 4 days before the work was scheduled to be completed that led me to seek out a different company to make the repairs.
