This place deserves to have a line out the door. Between the customer service, the servings of food you get with a platter, the food itself, and the overall space of this establishment, everything was a 10/10 for us. We came and dined in. Their Kelly green alcoholic drink was the perfect hint of strong and fruity. The empanadas were stuffed and probably the best we’ve had in Philly. When you think about a bar on Frankford Avenue, you don’t typically visualize a warm, hospitable environment with incredible food and good company… Yet that’s exactly what I stumbled into when entering the Drunken Hen. I was greeted warmly, given an ice cold beverage, and was quickly swooning over the menu and all the delicious food being cooked in the kitchen.
