My new patient appointment with Dr. Kareem was during the Covid pandemic. No one checked that I was wearing a mask or to take my temperature. The woman at reception who was not wearing a mask and asked me the Covid questions from less than 6 feet away. I had filled out my medical history online prior to my visit and they lost my records. I filled them out again with a nurse, then had to ask me again for them to reenter because she deleted everything by accident. The exam room floor was sticky, like a movie theater. I could not have had a poorer experience with this doctor and practice. My needs were not addressed- being a college student, I find it difficult to interact with a medical professional that didn’t treat me with a juvenile manner. Her “bedside manners” were laughable and I left with unanswered questions and feeling as though I were treated like a child. This is the worst experience that I have ever had at a doctor’s office. Gearity made jokes about my previous pregnancy that ended at 18 weeks after my water broke. He said, “ I know people who would be lucky to have the pregnancy outcome you had.” He was very insensitive to my secondary infertility and his suggestion after 10 months of trying is more prenatals and a bath every night. Absolutely horrid practice. When I went for my 12 week appointment, I was informed there would be a blood draw. With this being my 3rd pregnancy I was aware of routine blood tests. I did not know until a month later, however, (through a Lab Corp bill for $600) that they conducted genetic testing. I did not consent to genetic testing and was instead told by their nurse supervisor that they consider genetic testing “routine” and do not require consent for it nor do they even have a consent form for their patients to complete. ... read more
Always a pleasure to visit this doctor’s office. Friendly, helpful staff, amazing doctors who take time and care about my concerns. Also, they are on the front line of technology with their check in process, pre-appointment paperwork online and patient portal information for post visit updates of results. Cannot say enough about what a great OB/GYN group this is, the best in the area.
Due to my husbands work hours, I often have to bring my 2 year old and now my newborn, to appointments, which can be a hassle for me. But as always, the staff and Dr. Kareem were interactive with my 2 year old and made it less stressful for me.
Doctor Kareem provides excellent health care with kindness!
Dr. Kareem seems to be very experienced and I feel very comfortable with her.
Dr. Kareem is my favorite doctor by far! She's an awesome, caring doctor with a great sense of humor.
