Our experience with Dr. Townsend and his staff was excellent. Our appt had to be changed because of the snow in January and they made it the same day, but later so we could come in when roads were safer. Dr. Townsend took his time examining my eyes and explained what was happening every step of the way. I recommend him as an outstanding doctor with a great support staff.
I've been a patient for over 30 years. In this period of time, my vision care has been outstanding. I've worn glasses and contact lenses and had recent cataract surgery. Since then, my vision is now 20/20 and no longer need glasses. I would highly recommend Doctor Townsend for anyone who has vision problems.
I have been wearing glasses for many years, and the ones I received from Dr. Townsend (two pairs) are the best glasses for reading and distance that I have ever had. Very pleased and would highly recommend. This was my first visit to Dr. Townsend, as I have recently relocated from Massachusetts.

Dr. William W. Townsend goes above and beyond the call. He was great with my son and was reassuring with his words. My son has been classified with a slight learning disabilitie and now we may have the answer, farsighted with a stigmatism. I switched to this office when I relocated. While he and his staff are nice, he is by far the most expensive optometrist I have ever had. (He is my third due to relocating with my job.) I wondered if it was due to the technology he uses. Many times it seemed he may have been conducting research as well. The rebates he offers from different companies are very seldom returned, even when sent by the deadline. I recently relocated to the area, and was looking for an eye doctor who also sells and fits glasses, not just gives me a prescription. I've had trouble getting things just right in the past, and Dr. Townsend made sure I was happy with my new glasses. While I don't like needing bifocals, I finally have glasses that work better than the old fashioned kind. Thanks Doc!
