After recent routine exam, Dr Rice wrote my prescription which I had filled. Found I couldn't see out of left eye and it was determined he wrote 10 under axis instead of 180. I called and spoke to him, his reply was "I'm old, forgot the 8, come in and I'll give you a new script". When I went in he examined me again and put the axis on 10. I have been seeing this doctor for the last five years and been very satisfied with the professional service.
During an exam, Dr. Rice measured my vision in my left eye as 20/60 and again as 20/50 - a sudden change from two months before of 20/30. My eye pressure was good and my eye was not particularly dry. I asked him to call my glaucoma specialist in Boston. As he called, he said to me, "What's your name. I forgot. I don't have your chart in front of me." The next day 2 Boston specialists measured my vision as 20/30. I called Dr. Rice whose only explanation was "You are a strange lady."
