Personally did not care for his attitude. He is arrogant and cold.
In mid-June of 2022, I went to the ER with what turned out to be appendicitis. They scheduled emergency surgery for the next morning and Dr. Kennard came in to take care of it. He told me not to worry, that he had been doing this surgery for thirty years. I believed him and everything went perfectly well. I followed up with him two times after surgery and everything is fine. My greatest thanks to DR. Kennard.
Dr. Kennard's bedside manner is terrible. My surgery was rescheduled over and over, delaying it 3 weeks then my surgery was 2 hours late.
Imperious in attitude. We think there is a good chance he missed on initial diagnosis necessitating an additional surgery. After a second surgery to correct, there is a possibility that improper closure necessitated a third surgery to treat the hernia that resulted from the second surgery. We can't be sure of course.
Dr. Kennard is such a great surgeon, if I ever needed additional surgery he is my to go guy! I would recommend his to anyone.
Had surgery and follow up visit
Dr Kennard came highly recommended as a very skilled an experienced surgeon by two of my long-time physicians (her GI and family practitioner). He did a very large (type 3) hiatal herni
Dr Kennard removed my gall bladder a couple of years ago. He is excellent. I am writing his to let you know that my best friend needed his gall bladder removed last year. My friend had previously had 3 open heart surgeries, so this surgery was not that easy. As with me, Dr. Kennard was very professional, had the tests done quickly, operated on my friend the next morning. I figured my friend would be hospitalized for a few days, but he was well enough to go home the same day.
Awful bed side manner. Refused to do my cholecystectomy saying he was not in network with my insurance even though I was admitted to the hospital . Plano nurses quickly contacted another Doctor Who had me in surgery within 30 minutes come to find out my gallbladder was full of stones and was inflamed I also had a swollen common bile duct from a stone passing all this doctor talked about to me was money !!!! What a jerk!!!!
