Does not explain. Was referred for prostrate cancer. Told me I needed radiation. No options or explanations of what to expect. As it was during Covid no one could go in with me to ask questions. If given any options I would have chosen something else.

The stereotypical noncaring physician. It's as if he's out of central casting in a bad movie about medical insensitivity. If I might help one person avoid this man by way of this review, then that will be a better deed than the failed service he afforded me.
Glad to see the other reviews on here speaking to the lack of professional integrity of Gillett. Doctors don't have the most stellar of reputations to start with, but this individual must have taken special training on how to be the stereotypical smug and condescending physician. Dr. Gillett and the staff were very kind, considerate, and thoughtful care during this formidable malady, prostate cancer. My PSA <0.1
I agree with the negative reviews on here and would question if the positive ones are fiction coming from Gillett's family. And even then, he'd have to pay them to lie. This guy isn't just past his prime, he's a pure piece of arrogance. Can think of nothing positive to say other than I escaped him.

It is with great sadness that Munson Healthcare has Bay Area Urology as a credited specialist. I would NEVER recommend, to anyone, to go here for ANY reason. The entire staff is extremely lacking in knowledge, professionalism, or empathy. The medical profession deserves far better, patients DESERVE MORE.
I've never experienced a more rude or inappropriate physican in my life. He was on call during a medical emergency. His arrogance, condescension and clear annoyance at being on call was shocking. I don't care what "normal" might look like for this guy, he's a jerk. His lack of any sense of compassion complicated an already horrible experience. In speaking to others in the community about what I experienced, I was repeatedly told, "Not a surprise."
