I completely trust him with my vision. I have been a patient for many years and am always pleased with his caring for my vision
I felt comfortably safe. The staff as well as Dr. Deramo are very professional and helpful.
Dr Duramo was able to restore my vision. I was recommended to him my ophthalmologists in Ulster County New York, in Manhattan, and Long Island. He exudes a quiet confidence, the willingness to discuss my condition, and most importantly a willingness to consult with his colleagues regarding my specific visual challenge. He was absolutely outstanding. I am forever grateful for his willingness to formulate a treatment plan which resolved my problem.
Seven years ago, Dr. Deramo performed a vitrectomy & repair of a macular hole in the retina of my left eye. This tear left me unable to see in that eye. My recovery was complete. To me this felt like a miracle but in truth it was due to Dr. Deramo's expert surgical skills. Each year when I return for a follow-up visit, I am reminded of the professionalism and caring of Dr. Deramo and his team I have the utmost confidence in Dr. Deramo's medical knowledge & surgical skill.
Dr DeRamo has been treating me for almost 2 years. He and his staff are very professional, friendly and especially caring. I have complete confidence in Dr. DeRamo's knowledge and abilities. He puts his patients needs first and I know I am I'm in very good hands. I would highly recommend him.
I would highly recommend Dr. Deramo because he is an excellent practitioner. But if you’re looking for warm and fuzzy.....keep looking. He can be abrupt, condescending and superior to his patients. His bedside manner leaves a lot to be desired. After surgery he ripped a sticky protective shield off my face without warning. It scared me, he really should have warned me, so we obviously had a problem because I told him off. If you’re looking for an excellent surgeon than look no further.
Dr. Deramo was rude and curt in his demeanor. He did not explain my diagnosis and tell me what he was injecting into my eye. I asked, “What is my diagnosis?”He replied,” I can’t talk when I’m about to give an injection.” He said more words than it would have taken to say branch vein occlusion. After the injection he muttered “branch vein occlusion” and left the room without further explaination. His nurse was kind enough to give me a pamphlet on the topic.
I have been a patient with Dr Deramo since 3/17 he is professional, yet real. Explains procedures extensively and answers all questions no matter how silly they may seem. He repaired my retinal detachment with a victrectomy surgery that unfortunately for me I had to have two procedures a week apart. First the buckle placement, then the gas bubble. He was supportive of my fears and did a wonderful job both times. I would highly recommend him and his associate Dr Jonisch.
He is a wonderful doctor, this review is limited solely to his office staff, they are surly, vindictive, nasty and just plain dumb about insurances. Routinely I have to wait over an hour, even when I book the first appointment.
