I would highly recommend Dr. Deramo because he is an excellent practitioner. But if you’re looking for warm and fuzzy.....keep looking. He can be abrupt, condescending and superior to his patients. His bedside manner leaves a lot to be desired. After surgery he ripped a sticky protective shield off my face without warning. It scared me, he really should have warned me, so we obviously had a problem because I told him off. If you’re looking for an excellent surgeon than look no further.

Dr. Deramo was rude and curt in his demeanor. He did not explain my diagnosis and tell me what he was injecting into my eye. I asked, “What is my diagnosis?”He replied,” I can’t talk when I’m about to give an injection.” He said more words than it would have taken to say branch vein occlusion. After the injection he muttered “branch vein occlusion” and left the room without further explaination. His nurse was kind enough to give me a pamphlet on the topic.

I have been a patient with Dr Deramo since 3/17 he is professional, yet real. Explains procedures extensively and answers all questions no matter how silly they may seem. He repaired my retinal detachment with a victrectomy surgery that unfortunately for me I had to have two procedures a week apart. First the buckle placement, then the gas bubble. He was supportive of my fears and did a wonderful job both times. I would highly recommend him and his associate Dr Jonisch.

He is a wonderful doctor, this review is limited solely to his office staff, they are surly, vindictive, nasty and just plain dumb about insurances. Routinely I have to wait over an hour, even when I book the first appointment.

Mr. Deramo is no doctor! He has been treating my mother who amongst many medical issues suffers from macula degeneration disease. In a effort to get my mother the help that she desperately needs such as counseling for the blind she needed to be declared legally blind which he refused to give her. Because of this my mother suffers from depression as her condition worsens. When your mother calls you up crying telling you that the world is closing in on her and the Dr. you trust refuses to help.

I had an unsuccessful retinal detachment operation with another doctor from another group. Dr. Deramo did the second operation, successfully.
