Dr Porter is an amazing Orthopedic doctor and his assistant Claudia is super! Dr Porter explains everything to you at a level you can understand along with choices to allow YOU to make the decision for your care with his guidance. He is compassionate and is extremely caring. Super bedside manner. This family will not be going to another Orthopedic doctor anywhere else! Dr Porter is who we trust!
I would highly recommend Dr. Steven Porter. He is a very caring and understanding Physician. Gives you options on what can be done, which helps you make your decision to what you should do. His nurse is very upbeat and efficient and makes you feel comfortable. I needed knee surgery and his staff was very good in explaining on what was going to be done and where. The only complaint I would have is the receptionist could be a little more friendly and have a smile.
Heaven forbid that you are in pain and need to see the doctor quickly. Unless you are flexible and able to go in whenever their limited schedule permits, you're out of luck. When I called to ask if we could just come and sit to try to get fit in, I was coldly told "No", there are no options. Great, caring and compassionate scheduling.....
I saw Dr. Porter for a 2nd opinion and WOW what a contrast to the doctor I saw at the CORE Institute! Dr. Porter was warm, friendly, caring and informative. He took the time to actually assess my injury and then explain his diagnosis and course of treatment recommended, BUT he also gave me options and none of which were jumping right to surgery. I really appreciated his compassion and his assistant was GREAT.
On 1/19/2015 Dr Porter performed Knee Arthroscopy surgery, left knee. I healed very well and within 8 months was back to doing my walking routine. Yes, I would recommend him as a very professional and caring doctor. I am in my 70's and feel very fortunate to have found Dr. Porter..
He's is a kind, personable person. Very easy to talk to, and he understands your feelings. He's patient, warm & understanding, and he answers all of your questions, & makes you fell calmer.
