I highly recommend Dr. Porter. He explained my injury (rotator cuff tear) in detail using the MRI images, the surgical procedure, and what to expect after surgery. He patiently answered all my questions. He is very caring, compassionate; great bedside manner. It is now 6 weeks since my surgery and I am very happy with the outcome at this point in my healing. I look forward to 100% recovery at the end of my PT.

Dr. Porter is AWESOME! He has a GREAT bedside manner, explains everything and why it must be done that way. He is very compassionate and knowledgable. He repaired a rotator cuff on me, and I felt he did a great job. Been there for a few cortisone injections too. Although they don't work on everyone, they really worked for me! I highly reccomend Dr. Porter for all your orthopedic needs!

You will never meet a more compassionate doctor that cares more about his patients. I have traveled 3000 miles to have him do surgery on me. The most trust worthy doctor i have ever met.

$360.00 cash pay for office visit! Our pediatrician fell ill causing us to seek treatment with Dr. Porter. He was in the room for maybe 7 mins to tell us the arm was not broken. We don't have medical ins and were not given the opportunity to pre negotiate a discount as an Ins co does. We were not made aware of the cash pay price prior to the visit. Billing manager had a very "as a matter of fact" attitude and did not talk to Dr. Porter on our behalf as previously promised. So disappointed.

A friend I recommended Dr. Porter.. I've had a severely torn rotator cuff since 2001. As an RN I appreciated his openness and honesty - presented options and answered questions. Next week will be the review of my MRI and x-rays. I am hoping and anticipating surgery in the near future. His front office person, Marta, has been very helpful and considerate. I'm looking forward to more interaction with all concerned. More comments after next week. I would recommend him to friends & Family

Used zocdoc to get an appointment. Seemed to work ok but than they called me and said we don't do appointments on there. They set me up with an appointment for a few days later. I also filled out the forms online which when I got to the office they said we can't get to the forms and I needed to print them off and bring to the office. It never said that anywhere. The office staff were confused about how my insurance worked and wanted to charge me a $40 dollar copay I don't have a copay.. Took a

I found Dr. Porter through reading several reviews on various sites on the web. I found that almost all the comments are true. Dr. Porter listens. He explained the issue and provided options. His newer assistant is very kind & helpful. She was great dealing with the ins co.The front desk, the two are a 3 rating.A cust svc course may help. When someone walks in acknowledge her. When patient calls a 4th time liaising w/pharmacy, this isn't a time to joke & say "1 call per day". Be respectful.

I think Dr. porter is a very talented surgeon and a nice guy. His work on my right shoulder was great. When it comes to ease of working with staff this area needs help. Dana is very difficult to work with. Argumentive with my ICA supportive care provider. Rift over payment and her refusal to provide an itemized invoice. I have been without needed knee shots for over a year now. Dana even barged in to one of my appointments to read a letter from ICA that was none of my business.

Dr. Porter did both my shoulder surgeries last year. I had my L shoulder done in Aug. 2016 which is my dominant side. This was an invasive surgery & true to his estimated timeline, I'm on target for healing. He did my R shoulder in Dec. 2016, which was much less complicated. Dr. Porter is extremely knowledgeable & skilled. He has a very calm, encouraging & attentive personality & I knew the minute I met him, I had chosen the best surgeon!
