I had cataract surgery in both eyes from Dr. Hamilton. He did a fantastic job even though I had a pretty bad cataract in each eye. I had been concerned about the possibility of "intra-operative floppy iris syndrome" but it turned out not to be a problem for Dr. Hamilton. I was nearsighted previously, and I told Dr. Hamilton that I wanted to have good distant vision when the operations were over, so that I would not have to wear glasses except for close-up work. I now have excellent distant visio

I chose to see Dr. Hamilton based on his great reviews - what happened??? I did not have a good experience. The office staff were very nice. My very thorough eye check was done by the nicest person. But my very short visit with Dr. Hamilton was rushed and confusing. I went to the office for one reason, but another medical issue was found, which seemed to really annoy him. Things were not well-explained, he was rude, and no effort was made to further help me.

Thank you for your feedback. While it is extremely discouraging to read this after a 12-hour day, it is a wonderful reminder that no matter how hard I try to help people, I can always do better. I am sorry that I cannot recall or imagine a situation where I did not do my best to help someone, and while I am too often rushed, I am ashamed that I ever came off as rude. Please call the office and ask for me and I promise that I will do whatever I can to get you to the right person to help you.

My friend, a longtime patient of Dr. Hamilton, referred me. I just completed my first visit for a comprehensive exam. I was impressed with the friendly nature and the kind and helpful attitude of Tammy, Teresa, Karen and the wonderful Dr. Hamilton! I felt heard, cared for, and that I was in professional and expert hands from start to finish. I can't overstate my positive experience with Dr. Hamilton and Eye Consultants of Atlanta!
Dr. Hamilton has my vision the best it's been since pre-surgeries back in the late 90's. I appreciate his attentiveness and honesty during my struggles post cornea transplant surgeries by another physician.
I had cataract and lenses replacement surgery performed by Dr. Hamilton in April of 2018. I just want to say that this surgery has been life changing for me. I have worn glasses since the age of 5, and I was severely myopic. In fact, my nearsightedness was so severe that I was not a candidate for LASIK. My vision is now awesome, I only use reading glasses. From "coke-bottle lenses" to 20/25 (a day after surgery)!. He is a gifted surgeon and he has a wonderful bedside manner.
