Great Doctor, gets results, cares, very thorough.
This person is absolutely horrible, must not like herself. No treatments for a dehydrated child, my niece had to go to Buffalo for them to do something so simple!! She's ignorant and very unprofessional. Until this is heard all over PA, we will continue to flood this page. Not the first incident we had with this person!!! Your sad
Dr. Shirley Shuppe D.O. was working at UPMC Hamot Erie ER on November 2, 2021. My girlfriend and I waited 5 hours to be seen. Once we got into a room Shirley Shuppe D.O. refused to treat my girlfriend saying her conditions were "non emergent" and that she needed to her PCP. Shirley Shuppe D.O. became very rude as well as the nurse who was with her. We'll never go to UPMC Hamot again. My girlfriend was later admitted to another hospital after being sent back to the ER by her PCP.
Dr Shirley Shuppe was the most compassionate ER physician I have ever encountered in many years. She is very kind and listens to your needs. I found her to be a breath of fresh air for the ED department. She is a excellent physician, with perfect bedside manner. She went over and beyond. She gave me hope!!
