Dr. Tuwiner probably won't treat you. He strictly limits what he will treat despite his advertising to the contrary. Dr. Tuwiner's site states 'Dr. Seth Tuwiner provides comprehensive testing and treatment for narcolepsy at his offices in Leesburg and Dulles, VA. Learn more about your treatment options and call the Virginia Center for Neuroscience'Like other reviewers - he has a horrible gatekeeping staff. They called back stating that he does not treat narcolepsy. I advise you to save your time and hassle and find a neurolo... read more
My young adult son has been patient of Dr. Tuwiner for around 2 years. Dr. Tuwiner listened to his symptoms, properly diagnosed two separate conditions ... referred one to another specialist, and has been treating the other. After reading some of the other reviews that mention things like scheduling, phone calls, etc. ... I will admit that sometimes I have to leave a message or follow-up. BUT (big but) this is a small office. There aren't half a dozen doctors with an army of front office, nursing and tech staff. His staff re... read more
My husband met Dr. Tuwiner in the hospital. We liked him. Follow up, however, was horrible because of the staff. That was in 2019. But in 2023 when I needed a neurologist I thought I'd give him another chance. They don't answer the phone and the office manager, Sandy, is horribly rude. She treated me so poorly and all I was trying to do was get an appointment. Their policy of "If you have ever been to a neurologist, we won't see you" didn't make any sense, and when I questioned it, she yelled at me. I would not attempt to se... read more
Dr. Tuwiner is an AMAZING doctor. He was very pleasant, caring and understanding. He showed that he cared about my health concerns and took the time to listen and explain and really made me feel that he cares and wants to help me. THNAK YOU Dr. Tuwiner!
Evident that patient care is not a priority. Front office staff never answers the phone and is rude. Dr. Tuwiner comes to appointments unprepared, wastes your time, and then rushes through the appointment without properly answering questions. Would never recommend.
It was very disappointing to hear that personal friends of mine were reprimanded by Dr. Tuwiner for being late especially when they called the office to let them know they would be. The office contact told them to still arrive for their appointment. However, Dr. Tuwiner was rude and reprimanded them. That is totally acceptable.
I found the office on the internet and confirmed with my insurance that it was covered. What impressed me was the title Virginia Center for Neuroscience. I knew they would have a scientific approach. Dr Tuwiner answered all of my questions, thoroughly review the documents and cds I brought. He showed me what was wrong and what was causing the issue. I explained my symptoms. We discussed options, selfcare and treatment. He recommended a pain doctor and offered to forward his conclusion to the pain doctor if I chose to make an... read more
I was referred to Dr Tuwiner by my ENT Doctor and when I first met Dr Tuwiner for the first time I thought wow what a great doctor. He made me feel relaxed from the very first get go and I know I could tell him anything. He had a great manner and said right away lets see what we can do to make you feel better. He listen to me and what I symptoms I was having and said lets see what we can do to address them. I did not feel rushed and he seems like one that really cares about his patients.
Dr. Tuwiner and his staff are extremely professional, very personable, kind and caring. During our interaction with Dr. Tuwiner, I definitely felt that we were in capable and talented "hands!" We are blessed to have found such a great neurologist in Loudoun County
