Dr. Kachar replaced both of my knees - one year apart - and my experience both times was excellent. He was highly skilled and professional, as well as kind and responsive to my questions and concerns. I could not ask for a better surgeon to entrust myself to.
Dr. Kachar replaced my right hip on February 12, 2004. Six weeks later, I have no pain. That alone is enough to give a 5 start rating. But in addition to the positive surgical results, I enjoyed having Dr. Kachar as my doctor. He took time to explain the surgery, why he felt it was the best option for me and what I could expect post surgery. Bottom line: I need to get my left hip done this year. There is no question of who will be my doctor.
I'm here to tell you the Dr Kachar is awesome. He and his team did a great job in preparing me for what was going to happen during the surgery and the recovery process. Oh yeah and of course I had a great outcome replacing 2 hips.Before surgery I was having all sorts of issue walking. As soon as Dr Kachar saw me walk he could tell the issue and confirmed how messed up I was after looking at my X-Rays. Do yourself a favor and consult with him.
Dr. Kachar replaced my hip and I am so very grateful I found him! Not only is he an excellent surgeon but a very kind and compassionate individual. Never once did I feel rushed in any appointment. The surgery went much better than I could ever have expected... even though he told me it would! Home that day and walking without any aids within 2 weeks. It is such a great feeling to feel normal again! He is simply the BEST! Thank you Dr. Kachar!!
If you find yourself in a similar situation, I sincerely hope this will put your mind at ease. If you are fortunate enough to see Dr. Kachar for your surgery, trust me, you will be pleased.I was experiencing a stiffness in my right hip and after PT, seeing a pain management doctor and an MRI it appeared that the stiffness was necrosis which resulted in a hip fracture. Dr Karchar did my knee replacement in September 2023. Let me first say he is a wonderful doctor. Dr Kachar is very caring towards his patients. He and all of his staff are very professional , knowledgeable and supportive to your condition. Any one looking for an orthopedic surgeon for a knee replacement. Look no more ! This doctor should never apologized for making me sitting in the room waiting for him for over an hour for scheduled appointment, while he behind the door was checking the billings. It was so ignorant of him. I'm glad I didn't chose him for my surgery.
I was referred to Dr Kachar by a very close friend and her recommendation resulted in my knee replacement surgery in May. Dr Kachar explained the process, addressed my concerns with knowledge and empathy. He did not disappoint. The day of surgery went as promised and the post op visits were good too. My pain in my knee went from a 10 to a 0 in the weeks since the surgery. I am glad to have my knee problem solved.
Dr. Kachar has proven what an outstanding Dr. he is. He shows compassion in listening and his care has totally been proven. He has helped me with my scoliosis immensely. His name was given to me by many friends who were totally satisfied by his outstanding practice in many situations.
