`Having your knee replaced can be a difficult experience. Dr. Kachar has replaced both of my knees and from the first appointment to the last, he was patient, never rushed through an appointment, and was very calming. I would highly, highly recommend him.
Dr. Kachar replaced my sister's hips so I knew what to expect when I had my knee replaced this Jan. He is an excellent surgeon with a compassionate manner. The staff including nurses, PA and his medical secretary were all wonderful. This is not a pleasant procedure but I feel I received the very best of care.
My husband and I are both health care professionals and interviewed several ortho surgeons before deciding to go with Dr Kachar for my total knee replacement. My surgery was out-pt at NWCH 8 weeks ago and I am doing great, just as he said I would. Everyone was surprised how quickly I recovered. NW ortho rehab in the same building is also a big help, their communication helped me progress quickly. I just had a knee replacement surgery on my right leg and I was able to walk on the third day. This is my second surgery with Dr Kachar, I had a left knee replaced two years ago and I now can barely see the scar. I just want to say thank you to the doctor for his wonderful skills, professionalism, warm care and attention to patients. He is the best!
Dr. Kachar is a great surgeon. He doesn't rush you and answers all your questions. I saw him 2 weeks ago and he was very please with the scar healing he said he doesn't see this until the 12 th week.
