I was referred to Dr. Kachar after my original diagnosis and treatment - arthroscopic procedure- was denied by the insurance provider, citing more damage to my knee than an arthroscopy would help. From the time we met I felt that I was in the hand of a very capable surgeon and a doctor that cared for his patients. I’ve been treated for knee issues by two other surgeons, Dr. Kachar is far and away the best surgeon I’ve ever worked with. I highly recommend him and his team!

Dr. Kachar performed a partial knee replacement on February 24, 2025. From someone who has had 3 previous orthopedic surgeries, I can say without hesitation he is the best I’ve had. Not only are his surgical skills second to none, his explanations are thorough and easy to understand, and his bedside manner is exceptional. I would recommend Dr. Kachar to all.

Can't say enough about Dr. Kachar. What a wonderful doctor, I am so happy I was referred to him. He is patient, answered all my questions even the unrelated ones, explained the procedures I would be having in detail and easy to understand. I had a total knee replacement and carpal tunnel surgery, both with excellent results. I will be having my other knee replaced in the future, and have no qualms or worries, with Dr. Kachar! He works with a wonderful team, too! God Bless them all, thumbs way up.

Thanks to Sergei Kachar and his team. He saved me. I was shown a hip replacement, but no one would undertake the operation, since I am allergic to certain metals, even at the hip institute they refused me the operation, but Dr. Sergei Kachar managed to find me the right prosthesis. The operation was successful, he immediately came up to me in the hospital, after I woke up, and talked to me - asked how I was feeling, then came up to me several more times while I was in the hospital. I can’t say enough about Dr Kachar and the entire team here. It’s been a rough year with arthritis and stress fracture in one knee and torn meniscus in the other. Now I am feeling great! My knee replacement is amazing. I’m getting stronger and getting my life back. Dr Kachar has made the experience complete. I literally trust him with my life. Thanks team!

This review is at the 6 week point of my TKA recovery and I could not be happier with how the total knee replacement has gone for me. Dr. Kachar is very communicative and personable and was able to answer my questions before and after my surgery. I was able to leave Northwest Community Hospital (I would also recommend this hospital) on the same day as my surgery after being treated so well. I was given support for home and out of home phyical therapy which I followed very closely leading to what has been a very good outcome.... read more
