Just saw her TedTalk at Purdue and was outdone! I've always believed Type 2 Diabetes can be reveresed. I saw my brother do it and he ate this way she is proposing. I'm Pre-Diabetic and working desperately to be non-diabetic. Loved her facts, studies, and comparative analysis in foods, carbohydrates and fats. Would love to know if there is someone who believes as she does in Atlanta.
I am a case history. I went on the low carb diet when Weigh = 384, Blood Sugars = 300 & A1C= 9.4. In two years low carb Weigh = 262 Blood Sugars = 90 - 130 and A1C = 6.8. Insulin went from 50 (2) x Day to none
I loved the TED talk and gave it a try. I have been prediabetic on the borderline of diabetes for at least 7 years. After a few months my levels have gone down to the normal level and I am thrilled. It certainly has worked for me. Now I have to find a good balance because I continue to lose weight and don't want to lose any more. Love, Love LOVE Dr. Sarah Hallberg. The information she gives has changed the way I see food. Has made me understand low carbs and has made my A1C go from 9 to 5 in about a month. I wish she could be my doctor but I live in Tennessee/Georgia. But thanks for the videos and blogs they do help.
