Over a year ago following knee injections my left knee became infected. Doctor Cohen and his team refused 2 see me or treat the infection they caused. I had to go to the emergency room where they open the knee drain down some of the infection I spent over 11 weeks in the hospital and rehab and several more months in wheelchair before the new orthopedic surgeon could replace that infected knee and four months later the other knee. I have since met another patient who was turned away after her knee became infected following do... read more
Dr. Cohen has a direct approach. He will assess your joint situation in a standard correct way, medically speaking. You will be given appropriate options in terms of possible procedures/treatments to correct your medical issue. I believe Dr. Cohen holds himself personally responsible to handle your treatment/surgery to be executed correctly. I also believe he firmly considers himself the expert in the situation (and he is). He may consider it inefficient to discuss complicated medical procedures/details with patients because... read more
I had both knees replaced about 10 years ago. Still going strong, thanks to Dr Cohen. He is the best!
Dr Cohen is a fine surgeon but his bedside manner leaves much to be desired. Don’t let his volunteer work fool you, he is not a caring person. TOI is a very busy place so there is a herd them around mentality. My questions where met with demeaning and rude comments versus answers. He fixed my hip and I shouldn’t complain about anything. Maybe he’s better with male patients
Dr. Cohen's entire team were great. We have had two follow up calls this morning from his team and TMC. Everyone five star!
Amazing combination of a skilled surgeon at the top of his game, an excellent staff, and incredible technology with the Mako assist. Dr. Jenny Z at TOI physical therapy was excellent at explaining which exercises would benefit me. All in all I’m delighted to be out of surgery 5 weeks ago today, playing golf, chopping wood, and enjoying all the activities that I have been missing due to my doorstop of an arthritic hip. In my opinion, Dr. Cohen is a very good surgeon.
Dr Cohen is AMAZING!!! I would highly recommend him to anyone needing a total hip replacement! My surgery was Virtually painless with NO precautions what so ever!! He is so knowledgeable and his technology is way beyond any other surgeon in town. I was doing high knees and wall squats two days after my surgery....driving after four days! I have absolutely zero nerve damage and my scar is only two inches long! Thank you for taking away all of my pain Dr. Cohen!! You are a Lifesaver! Julie B.
Needed bilateral hip replacements. Very knowledgeable, easy to work with, recommended a friend. Wouldn't voluntarily go elsewhere.
THIS PHYSICIAN IS HIGHLY OVERRATED .He always seems like he is in a hurry ,does not like to answer questions and is a bore [rude]. My joint replacement did not turn out well and several years later is still painful. There are many other competent Orthopedic Surgeons in Tucson ,so why tolerate his antics ?
