I have much need of a Dermatologist, years of extreme outdoor sun exposure. This doctor and his staff care , are very attentive and have made a miserable experience quite bearable. I see them twice a year and they are always on their game. Highly recommend them if you need a 1st class skin doctor.
Dr. Herzfeld creates an authentic doctor/patient relationship with honesty and trust, an intelligent exchange of knowledge and ideas, couched with respect and dignity for both her patient and herself. She's not a bad doctor in general--when she's there--and she has been out of the office for months at a time. She's not good about returning calls either. If you have a problem, that could be a problem.
Helpful, courteous, good bedside manner, direct, doesn't over medicate. Knowledgeable about condition. Provides feedback and follow-ups on test outcomes.
Condescending, perfunctory, dismissive. Addresses the symptoms and not the patient. On time but not on point. Very disappointed.
Always has been helpful, treated me as an intelligent human being -- which is nice, as I am intelligent myself, and have never liked doctors who assume a priori I am too dense to understand their explanations. Has a good manner.
I went through an assessment for a variety of serious illnesses with her leading to a diagnosis of a relatively rare condition which other doctors missed. She was wonderful about answering questions and has a great bedside manner.
I've been going to The Neurology Center for 22 years.Dr.Herzfeld is the BEST Neurologist there.She is very Helpful and knowledgeable.I wouldn't want anyone else to treat me. Tom
I specifically sought a younger neurologist as they are generally up-to-date on the latest research and methodology. Do not let yourself be biased by age. She is an top-notch doctor with an excellent demeanor who has concern for her patients. That's increasingly rare, especially considering HOW busy her practice is. She also takes a team approach, working with a patient's PCP and other specialists to do everything possible to diagnose and treat even frustrating cases (like mine).
