In the past few months Dr Larkin performed eye surgery on each of my eyes, a month apart. I couldn’t have wished for a better result. I wasn’t looking for bedside manner or asked many questions. I left my care completely in his hands and expertise. The results are exceptional. I rate technical expertise above bedside manner any day of the week when it comes to my health and any surgery. I wasn’t disappointed and realise every case is individual and different.

Dr Larkin practices out of an old house in Batemans Bay which is no longer fit for purpose. His clientele is an ageing population and he has not been considerate enough to accommodate them. There is no room for all the walkers and wheelchairs so people just trip over them. The office is poorly run with no computer, and all appointments etc are kept in a book. I found Dr Larkin to have a condescending and creepy manner, which left me feeling vulnerable and furious. He responded with irritation to my questions about the invasive and scary procedure I was enduring. The rooms are old and musty, crammed full of stacked chairs and dusty storage boxes piled in the corner of the waiting room where clients sit in plastic chairs, trying not to bump shoulders and rub thighs. I recently had cataracts removed from both eyes by Dr Phil Larkin of Batemans Bay. The results have been fantastic ( well beyond my expectations ) and the care I received throughout the process was professional, supportive and thoughtful.
