Peter Mattei is absolutely one of the best doctors in the world. 12 years ago, our daughter was fortunate enough to have him as her doctor. He has in great abundance, everything that goes into making a world class pediatric surgeon.
Dr Mattei was my son's surgeon when my son was 4 months old. His bedside manner was warm and understanding and it was evident he put himself in the shoes of his patients and their parents. He answered every question with patience and right before my son was taken in for surgery Dr Mattei said, "I promise to look after your son like hes one of my own". My son is now 20 and we are forever indebted to Dr Mattei's hard work and efforts!
Absolutely the best surgeon for my son. He is incredibly caring and took the time to walk us through every step. Finding out your child has cancer is devastating, but he made a difficult situation more manageable with his thoroughness and compassion. He clearly explained the procedure beforehand, including how long it would take, and after the surgery, he went over exactly what had happened since some things changed while he did the surgery. His professionalism and empathy meant the world to our family!
