I'd advise that if this is the doctor that you had been referred to, ask for other options. After the first round of chemo, the doctor ordered to start another round for my father only a few months after. And this was solely based on blood work, with no scans at all. Once this doctor found out that my father went to another oncologist for second opinion, she was reluctant to do anything with my father, and did not even explain the CT report to him, which says cancer had spread all over. I was truly surprised to see Dr. Lau’s low online ratings, and as the husband of one of her staff members who’s worked with her for 16 years, I want to share some honest perspective: 1. **About the front desk service**: My wife isn’t one to sugarcoat things. There is limited seating, and the seating that is available consists of chairs with ripped cushions. As for Dr. Lau and her staff, they are beyond unprofessional and unempathetic. To give my ... read more

I normally would not spend the time to write a review for a medical professional but Dr Lau and her receptionist staff are truly some of the best. As my mother ages, we’ve had to see a lot more medical specialist and we see Dr Lau very frequently. She’s beyond professional and while some might expect doctors to only be “good” if they spent 20+ minutes chatting with you, those who see enough doctors will know that the truly good doctors are the ones who care about your health and will even scold you for not listening. Dr Lau ... read more
