Dr. Stanton was very professional. Explained all my options. He did not push surgery. He told me if I need it, he’s there for me.
My first time seeing Dr Stanton was very positive. I was very impressed with Janelle, his P.A.. She is the first person who even showed me and discussed my MRI. She is personable and professional. I quickly became at ease with her. She is quite an assert. Dr Stanton also was impressive. He explained what was going on in my back and what he could do to help my pain. I met with Dr. Stanton yesterday to ask if some rather strange nerve ending sensations could be related to my spine. It took him no time at all to explain what could be the nidus of those sensitivities. He quickly ordered an MRI to determine if the spine may be involved. The MRI department called me within the next day as he was so prompt in turning in the order. All that aside, Dr. Stanton is like visiting with someone who seriously cares about you . L2-S1 lumbar fusion: I am 14 weeks post surgery and am enjoying zero leg pain for the first time in decades. Other doctors told me that after 3 previous surgeries that my only option was spinal cord stimulation and pain block injections. (Not much success with either one). I waited ONE HOUR to be seen, during that time not a single staff member came in to update me...nothing. Just shoved in the room and forgotten. Finally Stanton shows up and I tell him I have been waiting unattended for an hour and he shrugs it off like it is no big deal. I asked him why he was late and why nobody kept me informed and he gets defensive and hostile. He stated "I'm not your plumber!" implying two things. 1. Absolutely top notch spine surgeon and he has an incredible staff. I just had major lower back surgery in late April and am already looking forward to him fixing my neck in a few months. Don't look any further, he & his staff are the best!!
