I saw Dr. Shields as a patient for both marital and individual counseling and was very pleased with what he helped me learn about myself and about my relationship. Kind and thoughtful, I always found that he had good insights into what I was experiencing and would challenge my long held beliefs if he considered them unproductive or untrue. Working through issues is not always comfortable or fun, but I am grateful for the time I spent with Dr. Shields and would highly recommend him to others.
