Our daughter woke up this morning with a 103.1 degree fever, complaining when we put the thermometer in her ear. We called Dr. Okezie’s office to schedule an appointment and get this: The doctor isn’t seeing sick patients (what?!). Prior to COVID-19 (and still today), doctors were exposed to far more deadly diseases, you know, like flesh eating bacteria, and all other forms of deadly illnesses. I just had my son three months ago & went with Okezie because I heard she was a good doctor, which I still would stand by. But there were some issues with her office & her staff. They do not allowed delayed vaccine schedules at all. The staff had told me “your insurance does not covered delayed vaccines”. I am someone who does not take a persons word without my own research so I called my insurance to find out that my insurance had already talked to their office MULTIPLE times about them giving out false information. Dr is fine, no complaints about Dr Okezie personally but her office staff is AWFUL. They are the most unorganized people anywhere and never sent referrals to specialists my son NEEDED as he was born with a syndrome, yet when I would call they told me they were sent. When I finally got confirmation that they had never sent out my referrals I left several messages and they never returned my calls. However, the referrals that you are referring to that we’ve not submitted was due to your child’s specific type of insurance, which we are not in network for and therefore are unable to submit referrals for, as they would have been denied. We are happy that you have found an office that is able to care for your child fully and wish you and your child nothing but the best.
The best Dr I’ve ever come in contact with. She has been nothing but stellar to my family since day one. Thankful to have such a caring and reliable Pediatriction.
Doctor Okezie is a wonderful patient doctor! She listened to all of my concerns regarding my two youngest children’s digestive issues. Both boys had MSPI and she helped me tremendously with samples to hold me over until I was able to get more of this very expensive formula. Her and her office staff bent over backwards in assisting me in applying for the necessary things to try to have insurance cover it. I 100% recommended Dr Okezie
