I have recommended Dr Benton. He has been a wonderful doctor for me.
Dr. Benton and his staff need a lot of work to become more professional and actually care about their patients. The office staff is rude, terse and it is impossible to get through to a human being when calling. You basically have to drive over there and insist on talking to someone, which is unacceptable. Phone calls and prescription requests go unreturned and wait times to be seen can take hours when you have a scheduled appointment. Don't overbook. Our time is just as valuable as a doctor's.
I like the doctor but have been waiting for some communication about a prescription mistake that has made it impossible to get my medicine. His nurse told me that she would call me about my request for a new prescription and days have passed with no call. The medicine is not about life and death but is about quality of life. Why is he so unapproachable?
Very slow to respond. Very difficult to reach. Staff very curt, terse, and short with patients. Took over one month to get lab results. Very difficult to get through to a human on the phone. I would never recommend Plaza Urology.
I have been a patient for the past 6 years and have gone through one kidney stone surgery with Dr. Benton. When I go for my yearly follow ups I never wait more than 15 minutes to be seen. The nurses and staff are always pleasant and helpful. I would and have recommended Dr. Benton and Plaza Urology to many friends.
Dr Benton scheduled me for a 4 phase CT scan. After 1 month several phone calls and messages on my portal he never followed up with me on my test. I called his nurse and told her I wanted my file I was going to another doctor. At that time (1 month) he had still not looked at my test. Needless to say I was very upset. I will under any circumstances go to Dr Benton nor will I refer anyone to him.
