Only problem is that I had to wait over an hour for office visit

Business response:

I greatly appreciate your positive feedback. In addition, I am fully aware of your delayed office visit. As a physician, I value my patients' time. Unfortunately, on the date of your visit, three unexpected patients with hand and wrist fractures were sent to my office for urgent evaluation and treatment from the emergency department. Therefore, my clinic schedule suddenly became very delayed. As you know, I like to spend a great deal of time with my patients discussing their hand problems and formulating a treatment plan. Of... read more

Dr. Engineer is NOT an orthopedic surgeon. He is a general surgeon with only one year training in hand surgery. Please research your physicians before listing them incorrectly. This is misleading to patients.

Business response:

You are absolutely correct. I am not an orthopaedic surgeon, nor do I claim to be. In fact, I am a Board-Certified Hand and Microvascular surgeon. This means that I have completed the rigorous training requirements to become a Hand and Microvascular Surgeon and have been successfully practicing for 7 years in this field since the completion of my fellowship in 2007. Unfortunately, most online medical review websites such as ratemds.com have not given the specialized field of Hand and Microvascular Surgery its own category an... read more

Dr Engineer performed carpel tunnel surgery on my right hand about 4 years ago and I was very pleased with his demeanor and skill. So, when my left hand exhibited carpel tunnel symptoms last month I immediately contacted him. He performed the orthoscopic surgery on my left hand 2 weeks ago and I am pleased to report with equally successful results. I highly recommend him

The experience with Dr. Engineer and his staff was better than any I've had with any doctor I can remember.

Dr. Engineer seems to think very highly of himself at other peoples expense. I thought he just treated patients that way but he was very condesending to to his staff as well as me and my husband. He made it clear that he knew everything and that what I thought or wanted was not important. I injured my hand and saw his great reviews so I came to see him. I have no idea how he got these reviews based on my experience. I left his office feeling small and unhelped.

Business response:

I greatly appreciate the feedback that you have provided following your recent visit to our clinic. I take the patient reviews given on ratemds.com, as well as other websites very seriously in order to continuously fine tune and improve our specialized practice of treating hand and upper extremity ailments. Your comments are very helpful as part of that process. However, I was concerned to hear that you felt that I “knew everything and that what [you] thought or wanted was not important.” On the contrary, your comment is the... read more

I saw Dr. Engineer for treatment of my carpal tunnel syndrome and trigger fingers. My procedures were done endoscopically, therefore I was able to get back to my work within a week! My mother is also now under Dr. Engineer's care for thumb arthritis and will be treated through a minimally invasive approach as well. Dr. Engineer is so focused and interested in fixing his patients hand ailments and getting them back to life in as little time as possible. I trust him tremendously and will refer anyone I ever encounter with hand... read more
