I disagree with the previous comment. I have been working with Dr. Lang to lose some weight because she actually takes the time to counsel me, and as a result my sugar and blood pressure have come under much better control. It took me a long time to understand how important my being overweight contributed to my health. She wasn't trying to get that patient to buy the book, she was trying to get he or she to read it. i did not like lang, though i like other doctors in her practice. lang just harped on me about being fat, then tried to sell me her book. i don't want to be seen as a possible sale, i want to be seen as a patient who needs help.
Nikki is very down to earth and thorough. She and the other doctors in her practice take time to find out if anything else is going on (besides what you originally came in for). I agree with the previous reviewer that the administrative staff aren't the friendliest, but I've never had any problem getting through and getting the answers I needed.
She's GREAT if you can actually get in to see her. But the office staff is a bit gruff and seems overwhelmed by the workload. And if you're looking to get info, test results, etc., forget it. Example: I had Xrays done weeks ago for what turned out to be a stress fracture. I'm still waiting for someone in that office to read the results and get in touch with me depsite numerous calls to speak with someone. Obviously, I ended up having to go to another doctor to get treatment.
