Don’t let the last name fool you. Dr. Papakonstantinou performed excellent work with an assistant alongside. I had my surgery on March 18, 2026. It was a four level L2 to S1 lumbar fusion with decompression. It only lasted around three hours. His approach, both in office and in surgery went very efficiently. My only suggestion is to have any questions ready to be presented at office visits. Be sure to do your homework first because he’s no-nonsense. On July 18 of this year, I was in Pennsylvania and decided to go for a bike ride. Much to my surprise, I crashed and I broke my T6. I was admitted to the hospital for the first time in my life for suspected herniated disc. This "doctor" came in and saw me for a whole 5 seconds the first time and said "you might need an MRI" then left! I couldn't ask any questions, he couldn't be bothered. Then after I had the MRI, while still in the hospital, he came in to "tell me the results" He spent a whole 10 seconds this time, and told me " There isn't much going on in your back, some arthritis" and left!
