When i heard Cancer I felt shock and fear of the future. With Dr DaSilva that fear went away. Her gentle manner and patience explaining my cancer diagnosis calmed me. I wish all doctors were as wonderful as Dr DaSilva. A truly knowledgeable and empathetic physician.
When I was diagnosed with breast cancer, Dr DaSilva sat with me, listened to me and answered all my questions. She put her arm around me and said that it would be Okay. I instantly felt a connection with her that is rare to find in this day and age. I was the Director of Surgical Services and spoke with the plastic surgeon who would be part of the team doing the reconstruction. He told me that there is no other breast surgeon he trusted more. Dr. DaSilva is an exceptional physician in her field of practice. From the first appointment to the post-op appointment, Dr. DaSilva was patient, informative and went out of her way to make certain that we understood what the procedure entailed. She was extremely thorough and asked a lot of questions in order to obtain all of the medical history. This was paramount in her planning process. Dr Dasilva has got to be one of the most compassionate doctors that I've ever had. She has taken care of myself and numerous family and friends. She goes above and beyond for her patients and leaves no stone unturned. She strives to make you at ease and comfortable, during what can be one of the most stressful times in your life. She is an advocate for her patients and demands nothing but 110% for them. I would recommend her to anyone, and I am forever thankful she was there for me!!
Dr,DaSilva is a great surgeon, I'm a male 80 yes young, she just performed a breast & lymph node radical removal,25hrs & I feel fine,I think she did a great job,men should start doing self breast exams when showering &don't ignore when feeling any abnormality
