WAY too expensive! Don't itemize bills or let you know fees up front. Husband went in for an exam & just new lenses (kept old frames). Even the new lenses ended up being outrageously priced plus they charged an extra $8.00 for using a credit card! When he went back to pick up the lenses they said they had forgotten to charge him for the eye exam so he had to pay ANOTHER $90! Over $500 for just lenses & an eye exam?!?! Won't ever be going back again & will be scheduling my appointment somewhere else!
Went in for no-charge pre-lasiks assessment. Received a bill for a routine eye exam. Called about the miscommunication and was told the exam was a routine and I needed to pay. So I pay and take my business elsewhere.
I will not be returning as a patient or recommending this place. Scheduled my yearly routine eye check. All went well at appt—doctor brought up zero concerns. Received a $300+ bill in the mail after they coded my visit as something other than routine visit (my insurance covers routine visits 100%). Called the office and was told the mistake was on their end and they would resubmit to insurance. Dr.Korthals and Associates has hands down the best customer service. They all go above and beyond to help their customers and they do it with complete professionalism and tact. I have lived in the past an hour away from them and continue to come back because of their excellent customer service.
