Amazing staff and doctors! Would highly recommend! In fact I drive in from out of town to see the doctors at the Berkeley Eye Center. Everyone was very friendly and helpful.
When my daughter was 3 years old I noticed that she was squinting and could not see well. I called over 30 doctors office and none would see her or there was a waiting list for 3-4 month out for pediatric optometrist . I finally got an appointment with a doctor across town, I was so happy until I realized that my daughters vision was 10 times worse with those glasses. She never wanted to wear them. Dr. Shrum is a very good doctor. He has a friendly personality, cares for and connects with his patients. I went to him before it became Berkley Eye Center. Whereever he practices his profession is where I would go.
I had cataract surgery on my left eye. I have been going to Berkeley for the past 10 years. I’ve always been pleased with their professionalism but they are still able to make your time with them seem more personal. They always put you at ease with their genuine care & concern. The eye exam was timely, professional and very informative as is generally the case. A young lady named Gisela Cintron waited on me for selection of glasses and she was a very pleasant surprise. She gave honest opinions on many frames and her selections were very attractive. Generally, you pick out your own frames without any other input but Gisela was patient and very considerate in making her selections. I went for my annual check up and the staff was pleasant, through and very quick. Barely sat down when they called me in. They started right away and Doctor Shrum came in politely and quickly. All went well and and I was pleased with my experience.
