I am extremely pleased with Dr. Hambly's treatment of my cervical spine problem. I had debilitating stabbing pain in my neck and shoulder and had been told by another doctor that I would likely need removal of a protruding disc and fusion of vertebrae. That doctor referred me to Dr. Hambly who reviewed my MRIs and told me surgery would do more harm than good and that I should have physical therapy. He was patient and clear. After 6 weeks of physical therapy I am pain-free and can drive again.

5 months ago I experienced the worst pain in my life, from my groin to my knee. After an MRI, I was sent to PT/Nerve Study/Massage/Inversion Table/Chiro/Injections, then finally Dr. Hambly. He is AMAZING! He reviewed my MRI and found disc fragments in the nerve in my back that no one else did. They got me a surgery date, and now 2 weeks post op...I feel amazing. Thank you to his amazing staff and the team at Sutter Surgery Center and of course, Dr. Hambly. Thanks for giving me my life back!!

Horrible personal skills and diagnosis ability. Takes questions personally and lies. Does not, repeat does not care about patients. Never looked at films or charts until in the room, then quickly scanned them and stated there was nothing he saw that was wrong. Did not read radiology report. Appears to have disdain for workmanship comp patients. Would not recommend to worst enemy. Subsequent doctors found and diagnosed issues and treatment easily. Using same reports.

I'm a 73 year old male with a past back injury which occurred on my job. I have future worker's comp coverage but couldn't get the first back specialist to do anything about it. I went through all the 'hoops', exercise, shots, PT...then was told I may benefit from surgery in the future. That was 6 years ago. The pain increased, developed nerve damage in my feet and FINALLY my MD recommended I see Dr. Hambly. BEST DECISION EVER. TLIF on L4/L5. Pain gone. It's been 4 months and still good!

Yesterday I celebrated my five year “neck surgery” anniversary. I couldn’t be happier with the results and must say if you need a doctor you can trust and hope to have the best results, Dr. Hambly is the doctor. I know a few people that had the same surgery with a different doctor and they have gone in for a second surgery due to bad results. I’m very thankful for Dr. Hambly and his wonderful staff and will continue to say Happy Anniversary each and every year!! Kelly A.

Dr. Hambly is extremely proficient, knowledgeable, listens to patients concerns about their health issues, takes time to explain the specific treatments/surgeries that are available and is always available to answer questions about the surgery and recovery process. I highly recommend Dr. Hambly for treatment/surgery. I have had fantastic recovery from both the 2006 double laminectomy and the current single level fusion on May 24, 2017.

Dr. Hambly was able to expedite an appointment with him to discuss my condition and the best course of action. He took the time to fully explain my options, and we agreed that surgery was the best option available for my condition. In fact, he was able to schedule (because of a cancellation) my surgery for the next morning. The surgery went well, and Dr. Hambly referred me to a wonderful physical therapy office. I am grateful for the care I received with Dr. Hambly.

Dr. Hambly gets my vote for physician of the year. I have had back "problems" off and on for years which had resulted in Sciatica and unbearable pain for the last 6 months. His skill, bedside manner, patient empathy are above reproach. I love his sense of humor, direct approach and listening skills. Surgery on July 28th has resulted in almost zero pain at this point. He cares and I feel it at each visit.
