I have been a patient of Dr. Kernen for more than nine years. He has helped me through two major health issues. In the first case Dr. Kernen referred me for radiation therapy that ended successfully. In the second case he first tried a Jelmyto treatment in an effort to avoid kidney removal. Unfortunately that treatment was unsuccessful, so surgery to remove the the kidney was required and was successful. In both cases Dr. Kernen first prescribed a non-radical organ removal solution. Horrid. He ignored signs of prostate cancer into metastatic bone cancer. He did nothing! He ignored all signs. Do not trust him. He is a Urologist - NOT AN ONCOLOGIST!! Go to someone else! If your PSA moves at all - go to someone else! It is too serious to have hormone treatment. Your PSA should not be over 0! The office staff is horrific. Excuses. No accountability. Please take your loved one to someone else! He needs to have his license removed.
I like Kernen as a source of information, but his staff are abrupt and uncommunicative. I felt like a chassis moving down the assembly line.
