The ability of the Dr and his entire staff to personally connect to the patient. How Dr Berend went out of his way to find another physician several states away to care for the patient
Dr. Berend took time to answer all of my questions. He didn't rush in and rush out. It was clear he cared about my well-being.

Dr. Berend was very caring, candid and HONEST with my care. He gave me multiple options, my surgery is not one he does and he said if you were my daughter here's where I would send you. But if travel isn't an option here is the best locally. Straight to the point and he listens. Got me all of the tests I needed to see the specialist and connected me with the specialist I chose.

Dr. Berend listens carefully and fully answers questions. He does not hurry you through an appointment. I think his pre- surgery and post-surgery care are beyond fault. He is also friendly and engaging. He was recommended to me by a friend, and I am passing on the recommendation as often asI can.

Very professional and thorough on the explanation of what was going to take place, and what to expect from this surgery.
Friendly and helpful office staff with a comfortable waiting area. Upon arrival checked-in within 5 minutes and about a 15 minute wait after scheduled appointment time. Dr. Berend greeted my wife and I then listened to my concerns. He asked questions and allowed me to answer. It only a few moments for him to compare what I said with the x-rays and give me a diagnosis. Treatment options discussed and we made a plan for surgery.
