I have a 14 year old autistic son who started seeing Dr Carter when he was 6 years old she fell asleep during consultation and during multiple visits we can never get a call back for appointments or anything I would not recommend this place, all she is doing is breeding a future generation of addicts, that's 6 years old prescribing my son very very addictive medications that we refused and now prescribe three medications myself is prescribed but triple the amount is ridiculous we cannot get a phone call back for another appo... read more

I think She is done in her field! She wants to prescribe all kinds of toxic meds to sedate your kid that’s her answer for autism or adhd! Sleeps through Sessions does not get referrals needed for ot or speech she forgets! How does the coordinator to this Facility allow this with all these kids .., it’s a liability and now she’s forcing Vaccines and shaming parents that have thier right to Choose how healthy they raise thier kid! So if she isn’t making money she’s not a happy Camper! Take your kids to another Specialist! She’... read more

We've seen her twice. She has you fill out paperwork, asks your child questions and then keeps asking you to tell her stuff. Then that's it. Nothing help, no information. Took years to see her and nothing out of it. Waste of time and money. Very disappointed because I was hoping for a lot more.

Appointments are backed up for two to four years, the staff will give your appointment away after a single missed phone call even if they call the wrong number like they did with me, and they will not make it right. If you just need an Autism diagnosis, see a Clinical Psychologist or go somewhere else instead.

I have 3 special needs children I adopted and soon after we started going to Dr. Carter. This woman has been a God send to us. She has worked on getting case plans for all three, helped with plans at school, gotten them in therapies and much more. Before we came there I was told the youngest wouldn’t ever talk, read or write, he does it all, I love this woman for all she has done because she loves her patients and does everything she can. It is a lot up to us as parents.

Took my son to his appointment in October after waiting a whole year for it to come up. Tried calling earlier on throughout the year to see if there were any cancellations and of course, had no luck. Office is hard to find but it is nice inside the suite. Wait time was almost 2 hours! Dr. Carter only spent 30 minutes with my son before she packed her stuff up and asked if i had any questions. Made recs to therapies but never gave me any sort of information about the places.

I have brought my child to Dr. Karen Carter since he was eighteen months old. He was severely beaten and had couldn't walk or talk after. She immediately put a plan in place for my child. He was talking and walking after six months. He continually improved, thanks to the therapies Dr. Carter ordered. I will be forever grateful to her.

I absolutely trust the diagnosis but I am not happy that I was led to believe there were basically no issues with my child. During the appointment and immediately after it seemed that he was developing normally and no recommendations were given. If I had not asked for the written report months later to assure a school that he did not require special needs I'm not sure I would have received it. Long story short they weren't convinced and he could have been getting extra treatment in the meantime.

I feel she Does not pay attention or answers questions thoroughly. There's always a 2 hour wait and she lets the kids do as please.
