I am a disabled veteran who has been on a very large dose of Methadone for 10 yrs .I went to Dr. Kabakibou who was recommended to me by a friend, to get off the methadone.I have tried the VA pain doctors several times who did not help me. Dr. Kabakibou is a brilliant doctor, he cares about his patients and is a true scientist. All the extra studies he has done are phenominal.I owe him my life. There are not enough words in this review for me to praise him.He truly cares about his patients. He talks to me about my treatment and ... read more

I was referred to Dr. K by my orthopedic surgeon for a mild L5 stenosis. Dr. K relieved all of my pain with 2 epidural injections. I found him to be attentive and compassionate. No complaints. (I saw him in his Ellijay office).

Rarely do you get to see the Dr. I have only seen his PA's in the past 18 months. Seeing the Dr. himself is reserved for first time patients, or those who cry loud enough about the quality of their care.

Worst experience of my life; drug tested every time I went in. He told me I could die for marijuana and referred me to an addiction specialist for "possible addiction to marijuana". I have severe damage to my lower back, documented in spades via MRIs and other doctors. Today, he literally got in my face and spit on me multiple times he was so close because I tested positive for a prescription HIS NURSE HAD WRITTEN! Not only is he extremely rude, he wants to send me to an addiction doctor for marijuana (which is not addictive... read more

I am a disabled 48 year young lady. I have severe bone an joint pain. ive been seeing dr. kk for about 11 years now. H e is truly awesome an so is his staff. I see him in the Atlanta office. he is not only compassionate but he thourghly checks out your complaints. he is not a doctor to just give out drugs. he actually makes sure you have a problem. he makes you have the proper mri,s exrays an then give you several cortizone shots if you can handle them. if it were not for dr. kk an his awesome staff. i would not be able to w... read more

I was a patient for 5 years. He gave me a dangerous amount of meds, and when I went to my GP, she was astounded at the meds I was on, and called him to discuss the situation. He turned into a completely different person. Rather than taking responsibility for over-medicating me (yes, it was my responsibility, but I was not educated about medications and I did not realize what was happening), he turned the situation around, and blamed the whole mess on me. He behaved unbelievably unprofessionally and without any integrity. He ... read more

I was this man's patient for over a year between 2007-2008 and had finally had enough when he made his very pregnant wife who is a geriatrics specialist take over for him on his "procedure/surgery" days. I can only assume this was done since there was much more money to be made...schedule an appt for say 2:00pm. Wait for over an hour normally, get taken to a room and wait some more...but ONLY after they've collected your co-payment....see either his wife or the PA (or if you're really unlucky Kabakibou in all his arrogant se... read more

Referred to Dr. KK to get a cortisone injection for a pinched nerve in upper back/neck area. Appointment was for 2:00, and they told me to get there by 1:30 to fill out papers, take a valium before the shot, etc. Got there early and filled out papers, but by 1:50 still no meds, and I had to tell them I needed to take it for it to be in effect by 2. Ultimately seen just before 2:30. Staff was mixed, some very helpful (walking in to get shot and after), others not so much. Had little direct interaction with Dr. KK himself, but... read more
