Dr Koen had to operate on my husbands brain ( craniotomy) September 2024 to remove a AVM and and just 3 days later my husband was released from ICU to we went home Dr Koen and all of his team did an amazing job and my husband is doing Great. Thank you so much for all you do thank you Leslie & Brian
I gave Dr. Koen five stars based on my previous appointments. I had an appointment on July 31, 2024. Much to my disappointment, I when I arrived at the office, I discovered that they no longer take Humana. I asked if I could pay cash, and they said no. I was reduced to tears because I really trust this physician. It was my fault that I couldn’t see him because I did not check the insurance they currently take. Dr. Koen was professional, knowledgeable, and willing to answer all questions we had. He did an amazing job removing a Meninginoma and made me feel comfortable during the whole process. My recovery has been better than expected. I would definitely recommend him to anyone. Thank you so much!!!
Dr. Koen is one of the best surgeons I know! I have 3 children with medical needs and have been with more doctors and surgeons than I ever wanted to. Dr. Koen is hands down one of the best! I never have problems scheduling appointments and his staff always returns calls. In fact, Jenna goes above and beyond! I went to Dr. Koen for Chiari Malformation. Dr. Koen gave us 3 extra years w/ our dad. He was very thorough in all his explanations both before & after surgery. His care was 5*. We will always be grateful! ( removed a malignant brain tumor)

Great surgeon! Terrific scheduling- less than 36 hours from initial visit to surgery. Wonderful care from surgery through recovery. Most importantly, outstanding result from surgery.
I had a consult with Dr. Koen in November of 1999 for a spinal tumor. Dr. Skidmore did the surgery. The surgery was very successful. It was a lumbar laminectomy for a spinal tumor resection. Unfortunately nerves had to be cut resulting in loss of feeling. Do you know if there is any new breakthroughs to restore nerve function? Thank you for your time.
